Young driver helps spread the word about marmalade

18 year old Katie McCaughey, a photography student and part-time sales advisor from New Ash Green in Kent, passed her driving test thanks to Marmalade’s learner insurance.

Marmalade’s learner insurance policy is tailor-made for provisional drivers, enabling them to drive a parent’s car whilst not affecting their No Claims Bonus. Policies are available from as little as £70 per month and the learner driver is fully comprehensively insured.

Katie explains why having an affordable learner insurance policy ensured she got all the driving practice she needed before taking her test.

She says: “Marmalade has an amazing service and it gives young drivers a great chance to practice because it is affordable, plus it didn’t affect my parents’ No Claims Bonus. I honestly think I wouldn't have been able to pass my driving test without extra driving with my parents in between my lessons. It was so helpful even down to just getting used to driving different cars. I found practising in another car other than my instructor’s was useful.”

Katie continues: “I am most looking forward to the freedom that driving will give me, to go out whenever I want to and being able to take myself to work and college rather than my mum having to drive me.  Now I’ve passed my test I can get everywhere a lot easier and it’s a relief not to plan my diary around bus timetables.”
