Marmalade launches first insurance app of its kind

Posted by Media Team on 29 July 2015 in Press Releases

Marmalade, one of the leading providers of cars and insurance for young drivers, is launching its innovative new app – the only app that enables customers to find out the guide price of insurance for a car they see.

Developed specifically for young drivers, and available in iOS and Android, the free app will be available for download now. The customer simply scans a photo of the registration plate of the car they’re interested in and the app processes the insurance costs, giving a guide price straight away. If the customer likes the look of the costs they’re taken straight through to the website to get a full quote from Marmalade.

The app uses Marmalade’s new QuickQuote system which allows brokers to provide a guide price of car insurance for young clients within a couple of minutes. The system requires minimal information, making the process a lot easier.

Crispin Moger, CEO at Marmalade, said: “We’re really proud to be the leading provider of insurance and cars for young people in the UK and we’ve worked hard to develop ways to help get drivers on the road safely and swiftly. We understand that our customers want to have a good idea of what they might pay on their insurance when they are looking to purchase a new car. Our innovative app helps them make that decision, ensuring the most accurate information available is passed onto them within a few seconds. We’re determined to keep finding new and innovative ways to help and benefit our customers and as well as our business partners.”

Marmalade’s New Driver insurance is a black box policy for drivers aged 17-24 and provides cover on a full or provisional licence, with no change in the price once the driver passes their test. Marmalade covers cars up to 1.4 litres and 9 years old only. Read more about its New Driver Insurance.
