Marmalade is shortlisted for a british insurer of the year award
Marmalade has today been shortlisted for a prestigious British Insurer of the Year award for its Fuel & Go product, which has been nominated in the ‘Personal Lines Broking Initiative of the Year’ category.
The awards, which take place on 8th July, were launched 20 years ago to raise standards across the industry by showcasing top class performance and innovation. Today, with 26 categories recognising the best in British insurance, the British Insurance Awards remains one of the highlights in the insurance calendar.
Marmalade, which has won and been shortlisted for the Personal Lines Broking Initiative of the Year award in 2011 and 2012 respectively, has been nominated for its innovative Fuel & Go product.
Fuel & Go uniquely tackles two of the biggest problems facing young drivers today, cost and safety. It reduces the cost of getting on the road by offering a new car with low deposits from £500 and monthly payments from £175 plus 12 months’ free insurance. Not only do Fuel & Go customers benefit from all the latest safety features but they have the protection of Marmalade’s advanced telematics system which has been proven to significantly reduce the risk of young people getting involved in an accident. In the UK, 1 in 5 young drivers are involved in an accident, but this is true for only 1 in 17 of Marmalade’s customers.
Crispin Moger, CEO at Marmalade said: “Safety is at the heart of everything we do, but we also want to help young people enjoy the freedom that driving offers and Fuel & Go enables us to do just that. We’re delighted that our product has been shortlisted for these awards, which are held in such high esteem across our industry. We receive a lot of great feedback from happy Fuel & Go customers, and their parents, but it’s also special to be recognised by our peers. We’re now looking forward to the awards ceremony in June, which is always a special event”.
