Marmalade, the specialist provider of insurance and cars for young people, is proud to announce its sponsorship of the Approved Driving Instructors National Joint Council to support its work with uniting UK driving instructors through conferences and Association meetings.

Crispin Moger, CEO at Marmalade, says: “We’re pleased to be working in partnership with the ADINJC, one of the leading and most trusted national driving instructors associations in the UK.”

This sponsorship marks the latest in a series of initiatives to strengthen the relationship between the insurer and driving instructors across the UK. As part of this, Marmalade launched its referral scheme for driving instructors which enables them to boost their earnings by thousands of pounds.

Open to any ADI approved instructor the new scheme will pay driving instructors £250 if their pupil buys a new car through Marmalade’s fuel & go scheme, up to £50 for every New Driver insurance policy and £25 for every new Learner Driver policy sold.

Marmalade’s fuel & go is a combined car purchase and insurance scheme that enables drivers as young as 17 to purchase a new car from just £500 deposit and £174 per month with 12 months’ free insurance.

Marmalade’s New Driver Insurance uses black box technology to help young drivers develop safe driving skills that make them a lower risk. This in turn enables Marmalade to keep the cost of insurance premiums low.

Its popular Learner Insurance also allows learner drivers to practise in a family or friend’s car without risking the No Claims Bonus of the owner, at a very competitive rate.

Bridgit Hollister, a driving instructor from Wiltshire, has already seen huge benefits since registering for the scheme for 12 months. She said: “Marmalade specialises in insurance products for young drivers and has a fantastic range of products that help to keep drivers safe on the roads at an affordable price. I recommend Marmalade and do to all my customers, which in turn has been fantastic for business.”

Crispin continues: “We really value driving instructors’ support in helping spread the word of our services and products to their pupils. Our new referral scheme is a way of us saying thank you for the support and we hope to reach out to more instructors to get them signed up and earning some additional cash.”
